This spacious two storey 'upside-down' cottage is set in the courtyard. The living room upstairs takes full advantage of superb views across the rolling countryside with a tantalizing glimpse of the sea along the North Cornwall coastline. A private terrace to the rear facing south acts as a suntrap.

For most of its life the ground floor of the cottage formed a significant part of the dairy, and the first floor a section of the granary. The building was tastefully transformed into luxurious accommodation for eight. The Cottage was named after the Priory of St Stephens at Launceston (in Cornwall), owners of Treworgie between 1288 -1540. Priory is attached to Duchy Cottage.

Stairs from the living room lead to two gallery single bedrooms with beams, velux windows and sloping ceilings.
