Our nearest beach is the beautiful cove of Crackington Haven, just two miles away, which is within the North Cornwall Heritage Coast area, famous for its rugged beauty and spectacular walks. Cornwall is renowned for its sparkling blue seas, safe sandy beaches and surf. Within easy reach of our Cornish cottages there are a host of interesting fishing villages such as Padstow, Port Isaac, Boscastle and Clovelly. Millook, another wonderfully quiet cove close by attracts geologists from all over the world to see the chevron folds in the sandstone rock face. Each cottage at Treworgie Barton is a perfect base for exploring the rolling countryside of Cornwall which offers tremendous variety, with woods, lakes, moors and farmland dotted with picturesque hamlets and towns. The local Parish Church dates back to XIIth Century and is certainly worth a visit. Just nine miles away from the cottages, Bude offers supermarkets, restaurants, horse riding, Splash leisure pool and sports hall. There are opportunities for climbing, fishing (sea, canal and lakeside) and golf. The new North Cornwall Cycle Trail, part of the new National Cycle Network, passes within 200yds of Treworgie Barton. For those who need a beach to crash out on, there is one to suit all needs from pebbly rock pools to wide open sandy bays up and down the coast.
